I wrote this in church (literally) over a period of about three weeks. We’ve been going through the book of Hebrews. The tune (melody) is set in my mind, and the chords are in there somewhere. But remember that I don’t play the piano—so I’m having a tough time figuring out the notes… anyway I know I’ll get it because I really want to, and I hear it pretty clearly. That usually means something :)
Just wanted to say that this is probably one of my favorite songs I’ve written, along with Take me far away (which I’ll get around to posting eventually) and Meteorite.

—V1—
I know exactly how you feel
because I’ve been there
remember
I became a man for you
as I will be
forever
and now you’re curled up on the floor
because you think that
I’ve left you
but do you realize I’m right here
with my arms out
to hold you…
—C—
Run to me
when you've fallen to your knees
run to me
I’m your savior and High Priest
run to me
let me hold you in my arms and give you peace…
run to me
—V2—
I’ve given you a way
to come home
accepted
I’m breaking down the walls
of a shaky
foundation
that’s blocking up your heart
from my love and
forgiveness
You’ve got to trust me enough
to hold you
together
—C—
Run to me
when you've fallen to your knees
run to me
I’m your savior and High Priest
run to me
let me hold you in my arms and give you peace…
run to me
—B—
Run away from temptation
run to me
I’ve been praying forever
that you’ll run to me
I love you so dearly
so much more than you think
run to me
run to me…
—C—
Run to me
when you've fallen to your knees
run to me
I’m your savior and High Priest
run to me
let me hold you in my arms and give you peace…
run to me
—E—
Let me hold you in my arms and give you everlasting neverending peace…
run to me.
