Review: Sweet Breath of Knowing

Sweet Breath of Knowing by Theresa May Evie
Genre: Poetry, Spiritualism
Rating: DNF

From Goodreads: Have you ever wondered how you became YOU -such a complex and seemingly unique being ?

You entered this world as a 'clean slate' - or did you? The author states that we are born as children of the Light, charged only with changing that light to Love. Therein lies the basis of this exploration. But what factors have worked their wiles on that tiny babe that was you? In this profoundly intuitive poetic narrative the author explores with you the various influences that have interacted throughout your life - and continue still to affect your journey through the 'human condition'.

None of these is exactly what it seems! However, each makes an integral and intrusive entrance into your psyche. Sometimes exulting, sometimes painful, occasionally stifling, often pushing good toward bad, but always making an indelible impression on the tiny innocent being that was you. Until, finally, you are thrust into tomorrow, hopefully prepared for, and guarded against, the task ahead.

Herein, the author offers the knowledge and depth of his own life experience to a new "human spirit" - leading it down the path of life and toward the Sweet Breath of Knowing.

 *****

Ever get a book request and it sounds great, then you receive it and it's not at all what you expected? This sums up my reaction to Sweet Breath of Knowing. I thought it was about knowing our reason on earth, and about God and stuff. It is more like children are enlightened and we become us by love and....weird stuff like that, stuff that I don't agree with. Sadly I can't finish this one.
